Training sessions help us to ensure our volunteers are qualified to lead and deliver workshops for Robogals.
Training sessions provide you with the opportunity to improve your own programming skills and teach others too. Training workshops are mostly held on weekends during the semester.
Come along to get trained! Training days are a great way for volunteers to learn more about what happens in a workshop and how to lead a workshop. Training days are held multiple times throughout each semester.
Go out into primary schools and high schools around the ACT region!
The opportunity to share your passion and inspire young minds in schools. Teach a range of students in preschools, primary and high schools.
Professional development workshops are another way we give back to our volunteers and our community! Come along to develop key skills when applying for a job, going for a job interview etc etc!

International Women’s Day High Tea Event – Female Leaders in STEM (8th of March 2020): Come along this International Women’s Day (8th of March 2020) to enjoy high tea and hear from some incredible women in STEM! More information will be launched very soon!
We value an inclusive and friendly culture. As part of our way of helping to facilitate an inclusive and friendly culture, we organise a variety of social events alongside other STEM organisations!
Week 1 – Afternoon tea in the courtyard on Wednesday.
Week 2 (ESA) – BBQ outside engineering building on Thursday
Week 3 (CSSA) – Pizza and games on the grass on day TBC
Week 4 (Physics Society) – Trivia! On day TBC
To widen our impact, we visit schools, libraries and communities in rural Victoria and New South Wales. As a not-for-profit organisation, we ensure that there are no costs for our participants. More information regarding this year’s rural trip to Wangaratta will be coming shortly!
Industry related events provide our volunteers with the opportunity to further their careers and meet industry partners that are kind enough to partner with and allow us to gain industry work experience and connections.
This australia wide competition encourages girls to explore different fields of STEM by taking on hands on projects, helping run this event is both a rewarding and an amazing opportunity to teach young girls new skills
